The Fairmont Housing Authority located in Fairmont, Nebraska is seeking an individual to serve as Executive Director. The Housing Authority administers 18 public housing units. The Executive Director will assume responsibility over all aspects of the Housing Authority’s operation, including but not limited to property management, procurement, planning, personnel, budgeting, grants and contracts. The successful applicant must be able to communicate effectively with residents and representatives of other agencies. They must demonstrate proficiency in computer skills. A Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration or related field in would be beneficial.  A minimum of one year experience in public housing management is recommended, but not required. A public housing certification must be attained within one year of employment. The Executive Director reports to a five member Board of Commissioners. The salary is negotiable and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Executive Director of Columbus Nebraska Housing Authority

The Columbus Nebraska Housing Authority is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Executive Director.  The authority manages 84 Public Housing units and 108 Housing Choice Rental Assistance Vouchers financially supported by the Dept of Housing & Urban Development.   Must possess bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, or human services with supervisory capacity.  Work experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.  Must have excellent supervisory, planning, financial administrative and public relations skills.  Knowledge and/or experience of HUD housing programs or other federal programs is a plus.
